I am Stacey Pigg, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Central Florida. I research everyday rhetoric and writing practices and experiences through a focus on bodies and technologies. I am interested in mundane rhetorical movements that people enact in their everyday lives. This interest takes me to a number of “laboratories” for writing including classrooms, coffee shops, and online writing environments where people interact–like science museum blogs. I teach courses at UCF that focus on writing, rhetoric, technology, and civic engagement.
At Michigan State, I was Research Assistant for the Writing in Digital Environments (WIDE) Research Center and a 2010/2011 Graduate Fellow in the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (RCAH). Over the past couple of years, I have also worked as a Digital Writing Consultant in the Michigan State University Writing Center and have taught Tier One Writing in the Writing, Rhetoric and American Cultures department.
